Happy New Year!
After the Christmas holiday winds down, the Happy New Year brings many memories, both good and bad from the year just past. It also helps bring to the forefront how much God has done for us this year and reminds us that He holds us in His hands for all there is to come!
Last year I wrote on my first food blog, daisyanddave.com, that 2014 was a crazy year! Is it any wonder that 2015 seems to have been even crazier?
2014 for me was highlighted by the start of married life with my best friend 🙂 (cue corny music). Shortly after getting married in June, I plunged into the world of food blogging! As I teetered my way through WordPress and SEO tips and tricks, I developed a great respect for full-time bloggers. While also working a full time job an hour commute away from home (each way – yuck.), I didn’t get as much time to blog this year as I had hoped. In September of 2014 we launch daisyanddave.com, but after a year of working out the kinks, I felt as though I wasn’t quite fulfilling the need I had to reach people for Jesus through whole living articles and healthy recipes. The healthy recipes I had in place, but not so much the pray and love parts.
Here’s a brief overview of all we’ve been through since our launch in May 2015!

Happy New Year Message
Though the perfectionist overachiever in me often bites off more than I can chew, I am grateful to know that all of this, and my whole life really – is in God’s hands and in His control.
“Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the Lord’s decree will prevail.”
Proverbs 19:21 (HCSB)
Take heart in the fact that Jesus Christ – GOD WITH US – came to seek you out, to save you, and to bring you back to His father, into His arms and into His family and His home. If you are alone this holiday season, don’t be discouraged or dismayed. Because truly the Lord of all Lords – the King of all Kings reigns on high TODAY – and He sees you and He knows you and He loves you. There is no greater gift than this!
“For I know the plans I have for you” – this is the Lord’s declaration– “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you” –this is the Lord’s declaration–“and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you”–this is the Lord’s declaration. “I will restore you to the place I deported you from.”
